The Award in General Insurance (Hong Kong) is similar to the Award in General Insurance (Non-UK), but specific to the Hong Kong regulatory environment. The Award is an introductory-level qualification that helps develop your knowledge and understanding of insurance principles, local procedures and products.
The Award in General Insurance (Hong Kong) is suitable for non-UK insurance practitioners at the beginning of their careers or seeking to build on existing knowledge through formal study. It also meets the operating standards set by the Hong Kong regulator.
The Award comprises one core unit: Award in General Insurance (Hong Kong) (WH1). This provides 15 CII credits (Certificate level) on successful completion. These credits can be used towards further CII qualifications.

Additional information for Personal Lines units (PL1-PL4) and selected non-UK units
Enrolments include a digital course as well as study text and assessment entry. The digital course is an interactive course covering the content of the unit syllabus and includes lots of additional features over the study text, such as videos, animations, infographics, illustrations and self-test questions. This is available via RevisionMate and access is only available during your enrolment period (internet connection required; course can only be accessed using a web browser and not via the RevisionMate app).
Additional information for mixed assessment units
Coursework assignments - the coursework assignment is submitted online via Revisionmate. For mixed assessment units, study is based on an 18- month enrolment period from the date of purchase. A combination of a single coursework assignment must be passed within the first six months and an MCQ exam passed within 18 months.
