Spotlight Focus: SDRs and Anti-Greenwashing Rule

Financial advisers are facing increasing demand from clients wishing to invest sustainably. With this in mind, the FCA has issued the ‘Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and investment labels’ policy statement. This contains ‘rules and guidance to help consumers navigate the market for sustainable investment products’ (taken from the FCA website).

With the first of these rules being enforced from 31 May 2024, it’s important to ensure you and your organisation are familiar with them. To help you get up to speed, this concise e-learning course brings together an overview of two key parts within the FCA’s SDR: the anti-greenwashing rule and the four investment labels. These overviews are taken from our Spotlight: ESG and Sustainable Investment Advice course.

The course also offers four brand new case studies to illustrate how these issues might arise in real-life situations and how to deal with them*. The course has been authored by experts who have worked in advising, compliance, supervision and paraplanning across a range of firms.
